Basingstoke (/ˈbeɪzɪŋstoʊk/ BAY-zing-stohk) is the largest town in Hampshire (Southampton and Portsmouth being cities and Bournemouth now being counted as in Dorset). Basingstoke is often nicknamed "Doughnut City" or "Roundabout City" because of the number of large roundabouts.
