Kirkuk (Arabic: كركوك‎ Karkūk; Kurdish: کەرکووک‎ Kerkûk; Turkish: Kerkük) is an Iraqi city and the capital of the Kirkuk Governorate of Iraq, 238 kilometres (148 miles) north of Baghdad.
