Latakia, Lattakia or Latakiyah (Arabic: اللَاذِقِيَّة‎ al-Lādhiqīyah  Syrian pronunciation: [el.laːdˈʔɪjje, -laːðˈqɪjja]), is the principal port city of Syria, as well as the capital of the Latakia Governorate.
