Pedra Badejo is a town in the eastern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. It is situated on the east coast, 25 km north of the island capital Praia, also it is southeast of Calheta de São Miguel and east of Assomada. It is the seat of Santa Cruz municipality. At the 2010 census, the town had 9,859 inhabitants, and its elevation is 35 m. In 2010, it was elevated to a city. Pedra Badejo has reached over 10,000 and is the third most populated place on the island, in 1990, the town was the second most populated place on the island.
